The Scars of War: Cambie Exhibition Game

Josh "the Tank" with what could be the start of Cauliflower Ear
Wednesday, March 16th 2011... The McMath Wildcats faced off against a tough and talented team in the Cambie Crusaders. The Crusaders came out with the strength of an entire cavalry, and the Wildcats seemed more like the "tame house pets". Right from the opening kickoff the game was Cambie's when a scrum was given to McMath and were instantly acquainted with their talent and strength, losing the ball and allowing them to score. Minutes into the game that McMath had thought it was a sure win, was already slipping away. From that moment on the momentum was the Crusaders.
The score at the end of the game was a daunting 17-0 loss in front of a thunderous home crowd and a disappointed one at that. The team lost some good men out on the field that day to injury including winger Chad "Carney" C. to a concussion who will not be able to return this season (or any season due to him graduating). Though the game was a loss it was not without it's merit, the experience gained was immense and we are expecting a better squad coming out of Spring Break. Back of the match was given to Michael Tolman and forward of the match to team captain Josh "the Tank".

  1. Holy they seem tough, but that isn't such a bad loss, especially since they're such a tough team. I'm glad to hear your ear is okay (Sorry, I really don't mean to put all these puns in).
